Seren Gobaith is an independent hospital in Rhyl, North Wales, offering a peaceful environment for adults undergoing mental health recovery. Located in Snowdonia National Park, we provide evidence-based, high-quality care, focusing on dignity, independence, and holistic well-being. Also close to the A55 which provides Seren Gobaith as a perfect location for commuting from other parts of the country

WHAT WE DO

Healing Spaces: Where Comfort Meets Care

Specialised Care and Inpatient Support

  • Accommodates 62 adults across five distinct wards spread over three floors.
  • Gender-specific wards provide tailored therapeutic environments, ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety for all patients.
  • Patients may be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 or admitted informally based on their needs.

Therapeutic and Rehabilitation Programs

  • Daily living skills training, community reintegration programs, creative outlets.
  • Literacy, numeracy, and further education courses, employment skills development, voluntary work opportunities, and therapeutic earnings schemes.
  • Access to gym, yoga, swimming, keep-fit activities, walking and countryside outings, and organized social outings.

Health Monitoring and Support Services

  • Routine health screenings, phlebotomy, and physical health assessments by a practice nurse.
  • Comprehensive pharmacy services with a contracted pharmacist who provides guidance, audits, and reviews.

Tailored Programs for Recovery and Empowerment

  • Encouraging patients to maintain autonomy while balancing safety.
  • Patients’ cultural backgrounds and spiritual needs are fully respected, with access to a multi-faith room and arrangements for worship.
  • Independent Mental Health Advocates and legal representatives assist patients in navigating care processes and their rights under the Mental Health Act.

Referrals

Get in Touch with Seren Gobaith

Seren Gobaith is a independent mental health hospital, referrals can be made via community mental health teams and local health board. Referrals will also accepted from out of area facilities primarily to repatriate patients that are placed out of their local area. Our aim is to provide therapeutic care to individuals with enduring mental illness close to their families. We at Seren Gobaith believe that the key to recovery is co-production of a care pathway with a multi disciplinary team and family unit.
