Seren Gobaith is one of the largest mental hospital dedicated to delivering evidence-based, high-quality care that makes a tangible difference in the lives of individuals, their families, and the wider community. Ensuring that the care we deliver is relevant to the needs and challenges of the Mental and Physical Health and wellbeing of predominantly Welsh service users, and making a difference to the lives of people in Wales and surrounding North West catchment area.

The use of the property shall be limited to the purposes described in the Planning Statement and Addendum, as a Class C2 Hospital. The office accommodation shall be used for ancillary support services for the hospital use.

Admission and Exclusion Criteria

At Seren Gobaith Independent Hospital, we are committed to ensuring that our services meet the specific needs of individuals requiring specialized mental health care. To maintain the highest standards of care and safety, we follow clearly defined admission and exclusion criteria to assess the suitability of potential patients for our therapeutic programs.

Admission Criteria

1. Have a diagnosis of one or more of the following:

2. Be capable of benefiting from treatment and rehabilitation programs provided by the hospital.

3. Be assessed as suitable for the environment, with the agreement of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT).

4. Meet the requirements of the Mental Health Act 1983 (Revised 2007), if applicable.

5. Have undergone a full professional assessment, including a forensic history review, confirming the appropriateness of care at Seren Gobaith.

Exclusion Criteria

1. Do not have a mental disorder as defined by the Mental Health Act 1983 (Revised 2007).

2. Have a primary diagnosis of:

3. Are able to live independently in the community with minimal or no support.

4. Are registered/ convicted under Schedule 1 of the Sex Offenders Act 1997.

5. Require secure service admission beyond the remit of Seren Gobaith’s registration as an independent mental health hospital.
